Thomas “Tommy” Hysler, M.D., MPH, FACOEM
Chief Medical Officer
Thomas “Tommy” Hysler, M.D., MPH, FACOEM, serves as Chief Medical Officer for HASC where he provides strategic oversight of the HASC occupational health centers nationwide and leads the medical providers who support each location. Dr. Hysler earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University, a Master of Public Health from the University of Texas, and his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University. He completed his residency in Occupational Medicine at the University of Texas. Dr. Hysler is board-certified in Occupational Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (FACOEM).
Dr. Hysler is passionate about advancing occupational health and is committed to delivering unparalleled healthcare resources and services, as well as state-of-the-art health centers to both employees and employers. He serves as Medical Director for multiple contractor and owner/operator organizations and is frequently sought as a subject matter expert in worker health and occupational medicine.
In addition to his leadership role at HASC, Dr. Hysler contributes to industry and occupational health advancement through his roles on the Occupational Medicine Residency Advisory Committee for the University of Texas and National Safety Council’s Wellbeing and Safety Advisory Board. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Hysler enjoys traveling with his family and playing music as part of his church praise band.
Bill Christian, MD, MS, MPH
Regional Medical Director
Bill Christian, MD, MS, MPH, graduated from Rollins College with a Bachelor of Arts degree, the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine with a Master of Science in Medical Science, the University of Massachusetts Amherst School of Public Health and Health Sciences with a Master in Public Health and Ross University School of Medicine with a Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Christian completed his residencies in both Occupational and Environmental Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and Public Health and General Preventive Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School.
Dr. Christian is passionate about health promotion and worker health, with a strong focus on developing programs that enhance employee well-being and reduce workplace risks. His work includes creating Total Worker Health initiatives and promoting wellness through health screenings and vaccination programs. By combining his expertise in occupational medicine with a deep understanding of public health, Dr. Christian strives to foster safer, healthier work environments that support long-term employee health and productivity.
Todd Hamel, MD, FACOEM, FAAFP
Regional Medical Director
A Native Texan, Dr. Todd Hamel was born and raised in Houston, attending public schools before returning home for medical school. He trained in Family Medicine in Oregon, where he later served on the faculty of the program.
Todd's career transitioned into corporate health in 2010 when he joined Quanta Services as Corporate Medical Director serving the employees and leadership of North America's largest specialty infrastructure construction contractor. He then took on a leadership role at Dow Chemical, initially directing Health and Emergency Medical Services in Freeport, Texas, and subsequently expanding his oversight to all of Texas, including the Deer Park, Texas City, Beaumont, Seadrift, and Houston sites.
Dr. Hamel's approach to medical care is a unique blend of experiences—from his roots as a big city and country doctor to his extensive expertise in industrial medicine. This allows him to effectively deliver optimal health and safety support to our customers' employees, our team members, and our community. As Regional Medical Director, Dr. Hamel will support HASC's numerous locations, overseeing the medical providers in his region.
Brandon K. Myers, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Brandon K. Myers, PA-C is a Physician Assistant with more than 25 years of experience in occupational and industrial medicine, certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He completed his Physician Assistant training at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, establishing a strong clinical foundation that he has applied across high-risk, highly regulated work environments. He is also a veteran and has served in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, contributing to federal public health and medical missions. His career includes extensive support of the oil and gas industry, both onshore and offshore, with significant experience in Alaska’s North Slope oil fields and throughout Houston’s oil and petrochemical corridor, as well as work in occupational commercial fishing and maritime operations.
Brandon brings to HASC a strong record for integrating sound clinical judgment helping organizations reduce risk, maintain compliance, and protect workforce health while supporting productivity in some of the most demanding industrial settings.
Bryan Lee, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Bryan Lee, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, graduated from Hardin-Simmons University with a Bachelor of Science degree and from Samford University with a Master of Science Nursing. Bryan has been practicing since 1998, working in the fields of Family Medicine, Physical Therapy and Occupational Medicine. He is a certified DOT-NRCME Medical Examiner and is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Gregory Baker, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Gregg Baker, MSN, APRN, FNP-C graduated from the University of North Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree and from Texas Chiropractic College with a Doctor of Chiropractic. Gregg has been practicing since 1998 in the field of Occupational Medicine. He is a certified DOT-NRCME Medical Examiner and licensed by the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Dr. Baker has completed his Nurse Practitioner certification and is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
John E. Slaughter, MSN, FNP-C, APRN

John E. Slaughter FNP-C, APRN is a native Texan and an Eagle Scout. John is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, received his associates of science and bachelors of science from San Jacinto College and the University of Houston. He received his emergency medicine technician from San Jacinto College. He received his bachelors of nursing and registered nurse from Hardin Simmons University Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing. He received his masters of science and nursing from Samford University. He is board certified in family practice with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and certified as a Designated Doctor for the Texas Department of Insurance Workers Compensation Division. He is also certified as a DOT-NRCME Federal Medical Examiner.
Michael Dow, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Michael Dow, MSN, APRN, FNP-C graduated from Western Governors University with Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in nursing and from Texas Chiropractic College with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Doctor of Chiropractic. Michael has been practicing since 2008 in occupational and family medicine. He is a DOT-NRCME Medical Examiner, a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture, and board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Morgan Mathews MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Morgan Mathews MSN, APRN, FNP-C completed her professional studies at the University of Texas-Arlington, graduating with a Master's degree in Family Nurse Practitioner in 2017. She began with an undergraduate degree from the University of Houston in Kinesiology, as well as a Bacholors' degree in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is also licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing. Morgan brings a wealth of healthcare experience in multiple settings and brings to HASC a philosophy on delivering quality care to all those she serves. She greatly enjoys spending outdoor time with her two sons and going to the lake for relaxation.
