Thomas “Tommy” Hysler, M.D., MPH, FACOEM
Chief Medical Officer
Thomas “Tommy” Hysler, M.D., MPH, graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, the University of Texas with a Master in Public Health and Ross University with a Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Hysler completed his residency in Occupational Medicine at the University of Texas, training at companies such as Shell, Chevron and ExxonMobil. He has been practicing Occupational Medicine since 2007, is board certified in Occupational Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (FACOEM).
Dr. Hysler is a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO), Disability & Impairment Rating Examiner, DOT NRCME Examiner and also teaches a half-day course on OSHA Recordability (19OSHA) in the HASC™ auditorium throughout the year. He is the Medical Director for multiple Contractor companies and is frequently requested to speak at a variety of local, regional and national conferences such as National VPPPA, National Safety Council Congress, Texas Chemical Council and the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). Dr. Hysler also sits on the Residency Advisory Committee for the University of Texas Occupational and Environmental Residency program.
Quincy Bascombe M.D., MPH

Dr. Quincy Bascombe is a skilled Occupational Medicine Physician who has a strong passion for keeping individuals well at work both mentally and physically. With several years of experience in the field, Dr. Bascombe has developed a deep understanding of the unique health challenges faced by individuals in various industries.
Dr. Bascombe obtained his medical degree (MD) from Howard University and went on to complete residency training in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at the University of Kentucky. During his training, he gained extensive knowledge in evaluating and treating a wide variety of occupational, environmental, & urgent care disorders incorporating skills and knowledge in preventive medicine, epidemiology, disease surveillance, toxicology, biostatistics and health service administration.
As an Occupational Medicine Physician, Dr. Bascombe is committed to helping employers create safe and healthy work environments. Dr. Bascombe also prides himself on working closely with companies to develop effective injury prevention programs, implement strategies for reducing workplace hazards, and ensure compliance with OSHA and other health regulations.
Andrew Vargas, PA-C, NRCME

Andrew graduated from Des Moines University in 1998, where he obtained his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Upon graduation he accepted a position at the University of Texas Medical Branch - Galveston, Emergency Department, where he received recognition for his dedication and continued education in the area of Emergency Medicine. After several years serving at UTMB, Andrew went on to pursue a career in private practiced in the disciplines of Gastroenterology and Infectious Disease which he spent ten years in dedicated service to the local community. Andrew has practiced in the field of Occupational Medicine for several years and has hosted several speaking engagements educating companies on exposure risk consistent with OSHA guidelines; and has worked on-site at several local petrochemical facilities. Andrew is a Nationally Registered DOT Examiner through the NRCME, and also holds the Physician Assistant certification with the NCCPA.

He is a certified provider for Buprenorphine / Suboxone by AANP / ASMHSA in substance abuse and addictive medicine. He specializes in occupational medicine, family practice, emergency medicine, pain management, orthopedics, neurology, bioidentical hormone replacement, nutrition, and chiropractic medicine.
