Scaffold Competent Person covers planning the scaffold, preparing the job site, general guidelines for scaffolding, and fall protection guidelines. The course is an overview of the types of scaffolds, components, applications, proper techniques, and erection and dismantling procedures for the following:
- Frame Scaffolds/Rolling Towers
- Tube and Coupler Scaffolds
- System Scaffolding
The course also covers inspection requirements and provides trainees with a checklist to follow when performing scaffold inspection, including hands-on inspections for multiple types of scaffolds erected to the different stages of completion.
Course Requirements:
The following PPE must be worn during the hands-on portion of the class:
- Long pants
- Long-sleeve shirt
- Closed-toe shoes (steel-toe recommended
