HASC Launches Modernized eNotify Platform for Industrial Emergency Communication

Updated system improves incident reporting and information sharing among industrial facilities and emergency response agencies

The Health and Safety Council (HASC®) announced today the launch of the modernized eNotify™ platform, an emergency communication system that enables industrial facilities to report incidents and share critical information with neighboring companies, emergency management agencies, dispatch organizations and surrounding communities.

The new system went live October 20 following months of development, testing and input from industrial users and emergency response partners. eNotify now offers faster incident reporting, easier navigation, mobile and app access, stronger security and expanded reporting capabilities.

For more than two decades, eNotify has supported emergency communication across industry. Unlike broad mass-notification systems, eNotify focuses specifically on industrial incident communication. It gives users a consistent way to notify emergency management offices, provide updates as conditions change and maintain a record of communications.

"Technology evolves, but effective emergency communication still depends on people," said Dan Heiken, eNotify Technical Advisor and architect of the original platform. "Facilities and emergency response organizations need to build relationships before an incident, and eNotify streamlines communication to get the right information to the right people quickly."

HASC took responsibility for eNotify in late 2025 and began moving the system into its trusted technology environment. To guide development of the new system, HASC worked throughout 2026 with an advisory committee representing industry, emergency management and regional response organizations to assess the existing system's strengths, identify needed improvements and define user priorities.

That input shaped the new eNotify experience, with fewer steps and easier access from desktop and mobile devices. The system also maintains historical communication logs and reporting records.

"eNotify has long been a trusted resource that helps connect industry, emergency responders and neighboring communities when communication matters most," said William Gonzales, Chief Operating Officer of HASC. "Our focus has been on strengthening and modernizing the platform so it can continue supporting regional partnerships, enhancing community awareness and advancing our shared mission of safer workplaces and communities."
