Instructor-Led & Hands-On

Build knowledge and develop skills through instructor-led and hands-on training. Choose from established HASC programs or customized courses aligned with your company’s standards, operations, and training needs.

Training is available at HASC locations or on-site at your facility, with mobile training capabilities available for select programs.

Instructor-led

For Industry, By Industry

Good training starts with people who know the work. Our instructors bring decades of experience, and we work with subject matter experts across safety, operations, and other disciplines to develop training grounded in real-world needs.

Instructor-led and hands-on training creates space for questions, conversation, and shared experiences. Employees can apply concepts, practice skills, and learn from instructors and peers before encountering similar situations on the job.

Exchange Knowledge

Trainees have the opportunity to ask questions, exchange experiences, and gain insight from instructors and fellow learners.

Leadership Development

LEAD™ is an instructor-led leadership development program that strengthens communication, accountability, decision-making, and leadership effectiveness. Through three focused courses, participants gain insights they can apply in their day-to-day responsibilities. Participants learn from experienced facilitators and peers while strengthening the skills needed to lead teams, support performance, and navigate workplace challenges.

Blended Learning

Different training needs may call for different ways to learn.

A blended learning approach combines self-paced eLearning with instructor-led, hands-on, and virtual training to create a structured, well-rounded experience. Together, these methods provide flexibility in how training is delivered and can be combined based on the course, workforce, and company needs.

  1. eLearning establishes baseline knowledge and core concepts.
  2. Instructor-led and hands-on training builds on that foundation through discussion, demonstrations, practice, and real-time feedback.
  3. Virtual instructor-led training provides live instruction and interaction in an online classroom.
This approach can scale to support high-volume training, project mobilization, and turnaround needs.

During our Big Block Turnaround, more than 4,000 contractors were trained through a comprehensive blended-learning program developed in partnership with the Health and Safety Council. This combined approach not only strengthened comprehension, but also ensured our workforce arrived on site better prepared, more confident in their responsibilities, and aligned with our shared commitment to safety excellence.”
