COUNTERBALANCE FORKLIFT OPERATOR CERTIFICATION

19UACFO

This training provides a classroom presentation, written test, hands-on practice, and operational skills testing session. The classroom portion focuses on the essential information needed for the safe operation of counterbalance forklifts (classes 1, 4, and 5).  The hands-on portion provides the opportunity to practice skills in a safe environment under an instructor's direct observation and coaching. Operational skills will be evaluated using industry standards. The training is not make or model-specific but covers concepts familiar to most types of counterbalance forklifts applicable to Canadian and US standards and Regulations. The trainee will receive a wallet card upon completion.

Upon completion of this training program, you will be knowledgeable and demonstrate proficiency in:

- counterbalance forklift basics;

- rules and regulations;

- types of equipment, principal parts, and their functions;

- safety systems;

- pre-use inspection;

- safe operating procedures;

- limitations, hazards, and controls

Trainees must wear long pants, sleeved shirts, and boots (safety-toe recommended) to attend the class.

This training is an Instructor Led Classroom follow-up with hands-on evaluation and is intended for operators unfamiliar with this piece of equipment or new users. (Expires-3yrs)
