This course describes the prerequisites and knowledge required to replace or tighten bolts in a flange assembly on an in-service pipeline. It addresses the types of flanges, torquing/tensioning basics, hardware, and tools, safety considerations, tensioning and de-tensioning procedures, and the abnormal operating conditions (AOCs) that may occur when performing this task.
