About the Training Centers
Delivering industrial safety training and safety training classes for a safer workplace.
The Houston Area Safety Council (HASC) provides training and industry solutions globally and delivers approximately one million units of training annually. Our state-of-the-art, LEED Certified headquarters campus in Pasadena, Texas, features over 100,000 square feet of training and testing space. Dedicated to building safe workplaces by improving the quality and integrity of the workforce, we offer more than 1,500 available courses to our 3,000 Member and 12,000 Non-Member companies.
Main Training Center
The 68,000-square-foot main Training Center building offers:
- 220-seat auditorium with stadium seating
- Computer labs with over 650 workstations
- Multiple classrooms and meeting space
- Executive boardroom
- Commercial kitchen
- Entertaining patio
- Parking for over 1,200 vehicles
Computer-Based Safety Training
The Center has two multimedia labs with over 400 computers that are available for computer-based safety training from 6am until 6pm, Monday through Friday. Trainees will not be admitted to the lab after 4pm. The smaller lab, which contains 160 workstations, can be rented for software instruction, simulator training and more. The facility has many classrooms of varying size that are used daily for safety, health, and environmental training.
These classrooms, which are all equipped with computers, Internet access and an LCD projector, are available for rent for HASC Owners/Operators and Members. Please contact email@example.com for information on pricing.
Along with our headquarters training center, HASC has multiple satellite locations at our NASA campus and in McAllen, Trinidad/Tobago, St. Louis and St. Croix.
Workforce Development Center
Adjacent to the HASC Training Center, our Workforce Development Center is a 17,000-square-foot training facility specifically designed for skills training industrial safety training with a high-bay, flexible workspace, observation area and unique features:
- Two-ton overhead crane
- Separate welding lab
- Aerial lift
- Scaffold yard
The Workforce Development Center also includes classrooms that feature instructor-led and hands-on safety training classes.
HASC Training & Records
HASC facilitates and delivers hands-on, instructor-led and computer-based training for general safety, professional development and company and site-specific orientations. Our over 1,500 different standardized and customizable courses are a part of an ever-growing library designed to educate employees in a myriad of subjects. With a focus on personal and skills development, HASC is also an accredited NCCER and Pearson VUE assessment center.
In addition to providing excellent training courses, HASC is committed to improving the integrity of record keeping regarding training records and course data. Focused on efficient and reliable data, HASC houses a secure network with all servers located at a secure data center at an off-site location to protect against natural and manmade disasters.
